Mistakes[Mistakes]

"I've made a mistake" is something I'll say
Which would be quite often, almost every day
About silly little things that don't mean much
And really big things that cause a lot of fuss

Forgetting a book and even a test
Or not remembering when you confessed
Not taking out the trash at the end of the day
That leaves this strong smell that just won't go away

Arguing with my best friend, losing them at the end
A relationship that could take many years to mend
Even making new enemies at every right turn
After acting without thought or any concern

The things I've said, the acts I've done
Pushing on my chest like a million to

The Man Who BurnsI am too sterile and static
I can feel you walking away
Into the arms of the man who burns
But then again why would you stay

He is so young and beautiful
He lives life while I rehearse
Acting upon his desires
While I write about mine in verse

Our love was Russian roulette
Without bullets in the chamber
Passing the gun back and forth
Without any sense of danger

The fire in your heart has gone now
This cliché is not lost on me
Metaphorically I'm the water
That dampened our destiny

You said you would never leave me
But this contract was never binding
I want you to find your freedom
If there's a freedom worth finding

Last night I received a warning sign

Indicting that I was going to die

By the hands of some power

Unknowingly to man or any eyes.

I couldn't even pretend

I didn't see what I saw

Because it was etched in my mind

Like a cat with his claws.

If you could imagine the way I felt

And how I crept beneath the sheets

Then you may be wondering

If it was all a dream.

I couldn't say for certain

Because the line between dreams and reality

Often get blurred once you fall asleep

And everything feels concrete.

But I do know I woke up in a cold sweat

And I bet my brain was working overtime

To come up with some sort of explana

SomeoneI need someone who feels this way about me
Someone who will love me and won't leave
The man you were two years ago
The one I fell for
Might have been that guy
But he doesn't exist anymore

I've accepted the fact that I love someone who is not coming back
It's like loving a ghost
We used to know each other better than anyone else
Now we're strangers

Maybe this is the real you
Maybe you have no idea who you are
This could be the real me
And I'm okay with that
I don't feel crazy anymore

Honestly, I'm probably better off without you
I'm still working on believing that
I still miss you everyday
And I know that you don't miss me

Through those weeks, months and years
Watching the tide begin to rise
From all of your fallen tears

A tide of insecurity
That in time became so deep
It would set about draining you
Of all the secrets that you keep

I was the boy who remained mute
I watched your life unfold from above
As you were shattered with pain
And given false hope with love

So many times I was tempted
To come and heal my angels pain
But up above in the blue sky
For now at least I would remain

I was the boy who stayed silent
A hush so deafeningly loud

Some of them can bring us to tears.
Our fears will never leave us,
A fear is something we will always possess.

When we face that which we fear,
Even if it's only once a year.
We might be scared to death,
Slowly trying to get control over our breath.

We might even try to maintain a straight face.

Someone who is courageous,
Even if what that person does might be outrageous.
Is somebody who still fears like you and me,
But who still dares to be and think free.

True courage is not hiding from your fear,
But to face your fear head on, even if you'

Comatose RendevousThe narrow spaces
Between typewritten letters
Are just large enough
To lay in.
You and I
Are crafters of flesh and bone;
Our skins,
Made of weathered canvas
And stitched together with
Sweet dreams on lonely nights.
Blood falls from your lips,
Staining those folded
Paper butterflies
You make so well;
I like to catch them
When they fall,
And toss them back into the air.
There are
Tiny,
Crimson-colored pieces of you
Splattered about the walls
And the inside
Of my mouth.
(You taste of melancholy,
And masked, uneasy lullabies.)
I would happily
Bear the red smears
Of your steady fingertips
If you run out of
Tattered parchment.
Allow me to
Spread my ashes
Over your ribs and
In the hollow of your throat;
You would look beautiful
Covered in faerie-tales
Made of soot.
I will sing to you as we write
A few more,
Peaceful endings
Across our
Broken bodies-
Beds of coal,
Disguised in silks,
Promise dirty wordsmiths breath
In the wake of
Sleepless morns
And restless eves.
I can see myself
Blowing melo

We can not run from our problems.

They want us to think they are strong.

But the fact of the matter

is that's absolutely dead wrong.

They make us believe we are the ones meek

Too scared and frightened keeping ourselves weak.

Controlling our lives with their own fear.

A fear that if they let up for even a second

We will rise up for battle

And be a force to be reckoned.

So we are kept at bay

By their shape-shifting ability to adapt

Into the thoughts we wish would just stay back.

Sometimes to survive we try to run away

with a false feeling of hope that would never stay.

HollowSo many questions that I don't know the answer to,

But I feel like it's better that I don't know the truth,

For they would probably eat at my head,

Hollow it out from end to end,

Take control of my mind,

If those answers I were to find,

Root themselves deep within my skull,

And grow until they were full,

Full of contempt and disgust,

Disgust that I gave you my trust,

While it still may enter my thoughts,

It's better than being controlled like a robot,

A simple sentence could free my mind,

Or cause it all to collapse and unwind,

But I guess that's the gamble that I'll take,

Because lately I've grown to hate,

Hate the things tha

Glitter on the pageThere is glitter on my fingertips,
As they stroke across the page,
Its all black and red to you,
But I see it glimmer and form.

As it cut into my trusting heart,
Black, yes, everything is black,
This is why I stay silent.

And I can never sleep.

Whatever happened to the concept of free speech?
What happened to being able to speak your mind?
Is it all just a joke for the leaches?
Or has everyone chosen to be deaf and blind?

To be honest it pisses me off
I hate to be told my opinion doesn't matter
Or when others just ignore it and scoff
But when someone snaps and makes the blood s

I slid down to a sitting position,
As you worsen my condition,
My eyes blurred by tears,

[To The Silver Moon]

Shining brightly silver moon
From a crescent to full bloom
Up above the Earth so high
Like a lonely seeing eye

There was a dream all men shared
To stand on you and look back here
All through the ages that we dreamt
Till *god took us, so we went

Wars and battles you saw all
Life and death with no recall
But still you shine on with hope
The kind that we do not deserve

All the things from up there
And what we disregard down here
Sea of blue and brown patches
Filled with the mess of progress

Stepping off-world was a dream
Uniting the divided
Scars left by meteorites
Now joined by rubber soled prints

Sky's the limit wasn't true
A portal to the stars
The legacy left on the Earth
Can be continued from afar

Here's my take on Man's journey to the previously untouched moon, while recounting just a bit of human nature.
