On Earth,

      Life a unique commodity.

          It is precious.                          

              Though, what sets it apart

                   from other resources,

                       is that, it is         
               
                           the only One,

                                that can decide

                                    for itself,

                                        if it wants to be wasted

                                            or put to good use.


In the Universe,

    a single life,

         is here for just a second

               then it's gone.

                     But what that life

                          leaves behind,

                              can either last

                                    for a second,

                      or forever.

We can not run from our problems.

They want us to think they are strong.

But the fact of the matter

is that's absolutely dead wrong.

They make us believe we are the ones meek

Too scared and frightened keeping ourselves weak.

Controlling our lives with their own fear.

A fear that if they let up for even a second

We will rise up for battle

And be a force to be reckoned.

So we are kept at bay

By their shape-shifting ability to adapt

Into the thoughts we wish would just stay back.

Sometimes to survive we try to run away

with a false feeling of hope that would never stay.

How Kids Eat[How Kids Eat]

What really happens when kids eat food?
Almost the same as blowing a kazoo
Food be used as food but other things too
We really don't care they're fun to chew!

Here's to chocolate! A marvelous thing!
A tasty delight that has another fun use
To smear on the face with gooey choco-juice
Makes for great camouflage and very messy games

Vegetables and fruits we'll never ever touch
Eying them suspiciously like spies in a bunch
Strangely enough these loops of fruit
go down the hatch without dispute!

If ice-cream doesn't melt and run down our arms
it isn't real at all and should sound your alarm!

To the Silver Moon[To The Silver Moon]
Shining brightly silver moon
From a crescent to full bloom
Up above the Earth so high
Like a lonely seeing eye
There was a dream all men shared
To stand on you and look back here
All through the ages that we dreamt
Till *god took us, so we went
Wars and battles you saw all
Life and death with no recall
But still you shine on with hope
The kind that we do not deserve
All the things from up there
And what we disregard down here
Sea of blue and brown patches
Filled with the mess of progress
Stepping off-world was a dream
Uniting the divided
Scars left by meteorites
Now joined by rubber soled prints
Sky's the limit wasn't true
A portal to the stars
The legacy left on the Earth
Can be continued from afar

Alright, I guess I've been on something of a dA hiatus for awhile but I've a good feeling about this month. I will be uploading some new projects soon. Something about this month feels...cozy. Weird! Something to do with the end of another year approaching I guess! Also some new games are out this month and I've been incredibly glued to Assassin's Creed III! As soon as I'm done with that, my new poems will be uploaded.

I write poetry in my spare time.
I'm also working on a novel right now and a poetic anthology.
